Author Stan Cox reveals some "uncomfortable truths" about air conditioning

The Boston Globe recently ran an interesting interview with Stan Cox, the author of the new Losing Our Cool: Uncomfortable Truths About Our Air-Conditioned World (and Finding New Ways to Get Through the Summer). Cox describes what in his view are the adverse effects air conditioning has had on the environment and buildings and suggests what he believes are greener ways to power air conditioning, such as solar energy, and talks about A/C alternatives like whole-house fans and evaporative swamp coolers. We don't necessarily agree with his views, but if you've got some time, give the interview a read.
